Rendells Farm Holiday Cottages

About Us

We have two traditionally built cottages and three new timber lodges, all within walking distance over level terrain to our two beautiful private fishing lakes. All the accommodation is fully fitted to a very high standard and includes everything you would need for a comfortable stay.

Rendells Farm is overlooked by some of the most beautiful downland in the West Country, classified as an area of outstanding natural beauty. It sits in it’s own 10 acres of flat, level ground overlooked by distant hills and yet it is only 8 miles from the historic market town of Marlborough with its unusually wide high street which dates back to 1214 ad. Magna Carta. Devizes, another old market town is only 6 miles drive away. Both towns have large supermarkets as well as smaller, more interesting little shops. Both have markets weekly and welcoming tea rooms, coffee shops and pubs.

Other historical sites and monuments such as Stonehenge, Avebury, Silbury Hill and the Kennet Long Barrow are all within 30 minutes drive. Bath, Salisbury and Swindon are about the same distance and Street, in Somerset is about 1 ½ hours drive. Longleat, Wooky Hole, Bournemouth, Cheddar Gorge are all approximately 1 ½ hours drive from Rendells Farm.

We have two Private Fishing Lakes stocked with mostly carp, some bream and tench and rudd. The lakes are situated just yards from our accommodation. We also have friendly Kune Kune pigs, hens and ducks. Children are made very welcome and dogs can stay in our Cottages. We have bikes for hire should they be required.

We are situated in the heart of The Vale of Pewsey within a peaceful, tranquil village that affords panoramic views of the hills of the Vale. The village has a pub where they provide a welcome with good ale and food, a small village shop and a church. The village is very pretty with a mixture of small cottages and thatched ‘Chocolate Box’ country houses.

This pretty little village is next to the famous Kennet and Avon Canal with its incredible Caen Locks. Alton Barnes, famous for being privy to many interesting crop circles is on our doorstep and Lacock Abbey and Bowood House are nearby.
