| Twixt Devizes and
Malborough
in the county of Wiltshire with its wonderful
rolling downs and panoramic vistas, Rendells Farm Holiday Cottages
nestle in a picturesque village in the beautiful Vale of Pewsey.
We are situated close to
Alton Barnes, claimed to be the Crop Circle Centre of the UK. Only
minutes from the famous Barge Inn at Honeystreet and overlooked by
the White Horse hill carving, this is a popular meeting place for
crop formation enthusiasts (Croppys) where you can eat and drink
and listen to accounts from past and present sightings. |

|
|
| |
| Hear about the
mysteries that surround them from local patrons and visitors alike.
Stories abound with ceiling murals in the Pub, photography and up to the
minute reports on the latest sightings. Croppys are only too glad to
share their experiences with those with an open mind.
The price includes all bed linen
and electric heating. Towels can be supplied at extra cost except to visitors from overseas for whom they will be included in the rental cost.
The cottages have two bedrooms and are completely self-contained and include,
VCR, Colour
Television, Microwave Oven, Electric Toaster and Coffee Maker.
There is a full size oven with four ring hob, fridge and washing machine. |

The kitchen area
is
fully fitted with pine cabinets above and below with a table and
four chairs for your convenience. There are also the usual
utensils, crockery and cutlery for your use. Tea, towels and dish
cloths will be provided. The lounge area houses a three piece
suite with coffee table, TV, VCR and Freeview.
The double bedroom has a
double bed with drawers either side with lamps and a wardrobe and
chest of drawers. Both bedrooms have a mirror and electric
sockets. Each cottage has its own personal safe for guest's use.
The bathroom has a sink and
WC with a full size bath and shower cubicle. There is also a
shaver point light fitting and mirror and a heated towel rail.
There is a lawned area
to
the front of the cottages where during the warmer months we supply
patio furniture for your use.
The cottages are warm and cosy and
our village is central for many places of interest such as Stonehenge,
the Avebury Stone Circle, various barrows and monuments. All Cannings is
situated between the historic Market towns of Devizes and Malborough. There is a Pub
and shop in the village within walking distance where they serve good beer and wines and provide lunch and dinner from a varied menu in the restaurant/bar. There is also a Church and bus-stop in the village.

|
| |
| We can also boast
a
small private fishing lake set in 10 acres of grassland in an area
of outstanding natural beauty just yards from the cottages.
Wiltshire is a very
beautiful county with many pretty villages to explore. We are approximately 30 minutes drive from Bath and Salisbury. The superb beaches of Bournemouth to the south and Weston-Super-Mare to the west are about 1½ hours
away. There are
many diverse and interesting opportunities here, such as hang
gliding, cycle riding and walking the Ridgeway, canal trips (in
season) and museum visiting to name but a few. If you require any
information we will do our best to supply you with what you need. |
